NOTICE: During the 2012 General Legislative Session, the Utah Legislature took action to change license titles within the professional counseling profession. Effective July 1, 2012, the license title "licensed professional counselor" changed to clinical mental health counselor. In addition, the license title "associate professional counselor" changed to "associate clinical mental health counselor."

The NCE and NCHMCE examination process has changed. National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) is now handling the entire registration and examination process. Testing is now available on a monthly basis. You can find links to the registration form and the candidate handbook in the Related Information section of this page to the right.
