Deception Detection

There are three classifications for the Deception Detection License in Utah; Intern, Examiner, and  Examination Administrator. All three classifications require applicants to pass the Utah Deception Detection Law and Rules Exam. For more information about this exam, please review the Examination Handbook .

• Create an account at https://provexam.com/scheduler/ .  You have the option to take this exam at most college and university testing centers in Utah and throughout the US.
• Out-of-State Testing:  Contact Prov directly to make testing arrangements.  The phone number is 877-228-3926.
• At-Home Testing: You also have the option of using an at-home testing platform known as Examroom. To verify your computer equipment will run Examroom, please use this system check tool prior to registering for your exam: https://examroom.ai/systemtest/#/ . When scheduling the exam, you will select Examroom as the location.
• Prov will email out exam score reports directly following the exam. Electronic submission of exam results will also be sent directly to DOPL.
