Apply for a Residential Master Electrician License (Utah Applicants)

Attention: If you are a military member or military spouse, please review our Military Resources page before applying.

The following requirements must be met:

4,000 hours of work experience as a licensed Residential Journeyman Electrician.
Pass the Residential Master Electrician Code, Theory and Practical* exams.
^{*Residential Practical exam is not required if previously passed as a Residential Journeyman.}

Bachelors or Masters degree in an Electrical Engineering program accredited by EAC/ABET.
2,000 hours of work experience as a licensed Apprentice Electrician.
Pass the Utah Residential Master Electrician Code, Theory and Practical* exams.
^{*Residential Practical exam is not required if previously passed as a Residential Journeyman.}
