- Completion of a plumbers apprenticeship education program (576 classroom hours).
- 8,000 hours of licensed plumbing experience working under supervision of a licensed journeyman or master plumber.
- Pass the Utah Plumber Theory and Practical exams.

- 16,000 hours of licensed plumber experience working under the supervision of a licensed journeyman or master plumber.
- Pass the Utah Plumber Theory and Practical exams.
