Apply for a Marriage and Family Therapist License (Out of State Applicants Applying by Endorsement)
If you are currently licensed as the equivalent of a MFT in another state, territory, or district of the United States you may qualify for licensure by endorsement. Click here for additional information on requirements and how to apply .
If you are licensed as the equivalent of a marriage and family therapist in another state, but do not meet the requirements explained above, you may qualify for licensure by endorsement if you have been engaged in lawful practice for not less than 3,000 hours, of which at least 1,000 hours are in mental health therapy.
